Language and culture go hand in hand. One of the most important Persian celebrations is Nowruz!

نوروز (Nowruz) = Persian New Year (March 20/21)

Vocabulary:
هفت‌سین (Haft-Sin) = The traditional table with 7 items starting with 'S'
سبزه (Sabze) = Sprouts
سیب (Sib) = Apple
سیر (Sir) = Garlic
سرکه (Serkeh) = Vinegar
سمنو (Samanu) = Wheat pudding
سکه (Seke) = Coin
سنجد (Senjed) = Lotus berry

Common Phrases:
نوروزت مبارک! (Nowruzat Mobarak!) = Happy New Year!
عید مبارک! (Eid Mobarak!) = Blessed holiday!
